For our Children as they Learn about their Faith

Luke 18 : 16 - 17

Religious Education Formation

Due to the COVID restrictions still in effect Grades Pre-K through 11 will have two options to choose from:

Remote Catechesis (via Google Classroom) or Family-Centered Catechesis (Home Schooling)

Please inform the Religious Education office of your preferred option.  For the Family-Centered Catechesis option, weekly lesson plans are to be submitted to the Religious Ed office monthly.  Any questions or concerns please contact the Religious Ed Office at (724) 981 – 9447.

Six reasons to enroll your children in Notre Dame's Religious Education program:

  • RE helps your child to understand and participate in the Mass
  • RE gives your child a peaceful and quiet place of prayer in our loud and busy world
  • The younger the child starts, the easier it is for them to fall in love with God
  • RE assists the child in wonder and curiosity about the Kingdom of God
  • RE gives parents an opportunity and the time for their own spiritual formation
  • RE includes Sacramental preparation for First Reconciliation (2nd grade) and First Eucharist (3rd grade)
