Pope Francis to consecrate Russia & Ukraine to the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Pope Francis will consecrate the two nations at 5 p.m. Rome time (12noon local time) in St. Peter’s Basilica today,  March 25, the Feast of the Annunciation. The act of consecration will be performed in communion with the local Churches throughout the world. EWTN will broadcast both on the TV and online.  You can also watch on CNA's Facebook page.

Bishop Persico will offer the prayer of consecration immediately following the 6:30 a.m. Mass at St. Peter Cathedral this morning, Friday, March 25. The Mass and consecration will be available by livestream at https://stpetercathedral.com/live-stream/

Our Lady of Fatima requested in her 1917 apparitions that all the world’s bishops consecrate Russia to her Immaculate Heart. The Holy See and Sr. Lucia said Pope St. John Paul II’s 1984 consecration fulfilled her requests.

However, the Ukrainian bishops asked the Holy Father to renew this consecration hoping to obtain peace amid the ongoing war.
